As you can see I have added blood onto the pitch fork, I did this using the drop colour tool picking the blood colour off the sheet from the image and using the magic tool to change the bits of the pitch fork I wanted. Overall the editing process went well, and I was using a medium close up which is a conventional magazine image.

Editing Magazine Cover - Lips
As you acn see I have changed the colour of the lips to a dark purple/black colour, I did this because against the white make up they weren't standing out so its important to make her face look scary.
Editing Film Magazine Cover - Eyes
Usually in zombie films, they look un-natural and I decided to change the image again using the magic tool on photoshop from her blue eyes to red as this has connotations of danger/blood/death.
Before Eyes edited.
This has worked well, she looks again more like a zombie and the red works well with the blood on her sheet.
Editing Film Magazine Image - HAIR
Editing the hair
In the movie for costume, I chose to add hair extensions onto my actress to make her look scary and as though she had been living in this barn for a long time, however they were a different colour to her hair, so using photoshop and the magic tool, I highlighted the hair and using the drop colour tool I took her original hair colour and make the extensions the same colour shown below.
I think this has worked effectively as it makes her look more scary and the dark colours are connotations of horror.

Live Type Progress
I firstly changed the background colour on photoshop, I downloaded an image of clouds from the internet and then changed the picture to a sepia tone, you then place this into livetype. I added two different layers of text for the 'SNIP' and the 'productions' I also thought that scissors could cut up the snip relating to the title.

Live Type tutorial
I found this very useful in exploring how you can create different titles on livetype, it was easy to follow and fully explained.

Filming issues
We began filming and the lighting still wasn't enough for the camera to pick up clear footage. As a result we relocated to my aunties barn, although it is very modern it had full supply of electricity which meant clear footage. I will darken down the footage and add filters onto it to crete a more creepy mood.

Creating my companies introduction
I chose to call the company 'Snap' as cameras make this noise, and the idea is that the film isn't meant to have been seen, and it is giving you a snippet. I chose to have a clouds background from Livetype under textures to make it realistic and look like it is professional.

Livetype
Here I was experimenting using Livetype which design worked best, I have decided to use the bottom one as conventional horror trailers use a black background. The red outline also gives connotations of blood and danger. I will keep both so that I can experiment on the actual video.
My Title for my movie
Deciding on a name for the movie was hard, I first of all I decided to write down ideas to do with my story line and then chose one from this. I firstly wrote down all the words that I could think of that related to horror such as being scared. I then thought of the plot of my trailer being about a girl taking shelter in a barn and being alone and trapped with no one to help her.
I also looked up existed movies and quite a lot of movies already had some of these words in their title, I will then get audience feedback on which name they most like.
Livetype- Glow and Background guide
Im not overly confident on livetype but by watching this video it easily explained how to create text and add a background to it.
Teaser Trailer - poor lighting
I have exported my first attempt of filming to show how the poor lighting effected the quality of the footage, and how you couldn't see the actors facial expressions, it doesn't contain any transactions or effects but as a result of doing this I can now re-do the filming more effectively with extra lighting.

Lighting Issues
When I begin editing my footage I found that the lighting was very poor and the quality of my footage when I increased the brightness on final cut looked poor. As a result I am going to re-do my filming, using the exact same shots, but with lightening from a flood light, and high powered torches. Although this footage may have been too dark for my final product I have learned about colour correction, brightness and contrast, and the significance that lighting makes. I filmed my footage at 3-5pm on a rainy day and although this appeared to be ok on the camera when transfered to the computer it wasn't.
Factors that effect lighting:
- Weather
- Lighting in the barn
- The time of day
- Lighting sources

Changes to filming
The day was moved to thursday the 27th due to work commitment on friday.
Laura Turner was also ill on over the half term, so as a replacement I used Lesley Turner.
I got all the filming completed except the beginning scene due to serve heavy rain.
