I have made some changes to my trailer, firstly I have made the analog TV noise end sooner so that it goes off exactly when the image ends. I have also added the girl being dragged backwards because I got feedback on survey monkey suggesting to add more clips of the girls as there is a lot of title screens, thy also said to make it slightly longer. Using final cut pro I added the bad film effect which is on a lot of the scenes on the movie already so that the whole movie has a specific house style as well as adding to the creepy horror genre. I also increased the heartbeat sound because it is hard to hear with all the other sounds in the movie.

Feedback on magazine
My audience feedback was: "you should add links to social network sites, and an actual website."
"you should use the same image filter on the alone part of the magazine so that it is a similar style and colour"
I have made these changes shown above. I will also look to fading the image into the background so that its not such a hard line.

Creating my film poster masthead
I began editing my poster by using the same typography that is in my film which I had downloaded from dafont.com I then added a green tint to the picture to match the colour of the TV flicker. To get the flicker I using grab on the macs to capture the image and using layers on Indesign was able to write text on it.
Using soundtrack
This was the first time I used soundtrack, I used different layers so that I could adjust the volume on the different sounds, such as increasing the sound of the heart beat, and making the breathing noise louder. I also learned how to fade out the sound so that its a smoother video. I imported a rough cut of my video so that I could match the sound up with the video. I also increased the pace and used sounds together to make the loud bang on the alone such as thunder, explosion and drone noises so that it really emphasizes the sound.

Using surveymonkey.com
I signed up and used surveymonkey.com because its a great way to get feedback on my video in percentages and accurate figures, I asked mostly yes or no questions and posted this on facebook for people to take because its the target audience I am aiming for.
The link to questionnaire is: http://www.surveymonkey.com/s/NQMQVWT
Alone teaser trailer 2012
This is my second attempt of my teaser trailer, with the new preview sequence before the actual footage, increasing the heart beat sound and with the new titles at the end.
Creating my film poster
http://www.designzzz.com/superb-blood-brushes-sets-for-photoshop/
Using this website I downloaded a set of blood brushes to make my poster reflect the horror genre.
Some problems I've en-counted was that after saving it on photoshop I didn't say it as A4 size so the final product was pixelated. I also used photoscape to give the blue tint and the antique style photo filter.

Finding the preview picture

All trailers use this at the beginning because this is conventional and declares who the film is owned by and that its complies with the copyright rules.

Changing the Alone title
After posting my first attempt of my teaser trailer on facebook I got some feedback saying that they thought the alone was too much like cartoon writing and they preferred the typography at the beginning which was like a typewriter. They suggested changing it to have a house style, so using livetype I used the same font but added a tv flicker effect to work with the horror genre of watching a video that we weren't meant to see, I als added a blue glow to show the flicker off. On the last title, I used a conventional template of placing my companies logo snip productions in the bottom, adding a website, and saying about the facebook page and the rating information.
Editing my film poster
This was the original photo, following the low angle shot which I drew on my flat plans, I wanted it lo like she was about to be dragged behind and that she was screaming to give the hint of a horror genre.
Using photoscape I added an antique effect to the picture, because the film narrative is that girls have been disappearing for years since the village had been desserted it also gives its a more creepy vibe for the film poster as well as thetv flicker effect.

Alone Teaser Trailer
This was the first time I exported my film, after doing this I noticed that the heartbeat wasn't loud enough and that when the tv cuts off the sound goes on for too long, so I will edit this for my next attempt.
Snip Productions take 2
After getting feedback, they thought that the snip productions was too busy and that it didn't look very professional or fit with the genre of horror. So I made it more simply by adding a pink glow to the SNIP and on a plain black background with a movement effect.
Livetype
I then added another livetype page to explain more about the movie and tease my target with the cliche of until now reinforcing the horror genre.
Snip Productions
I inserted a background, but to get the sepia effect I did this on photoshop. I darkened it and then made the text different sizes on livetype. I then added in the scissor picture so that it looked like it was cutting up the title. I added an movement to do this.
Livetype
I decided to change my titles to a similar style to Quarantine and paranormal activity. I downloaded a font from dafont.com called typewriter to create this effect.
Livetype
After getting some feedback on my video, they said that there wasn't a narrative as there is little speech so they thought it needed to be in my titles. Using Livetype I created titles saying one barn, one girl, one watcher and one killer.

Editing Film Magazine - Pitch Fork
As you can see I have added blood onto the pitch fork, I did this using the drop colour tool picking the blood colour off the sheet from the image and using the magic tool to change the bits of the pitch fork I wanted. Overall the editing process went well, and I was using a medium close up which is a conventional magazine image.
Editing Magazine Cover - Lips
As you acn see I have changed the colour of the lips to a dark purple/black colour, I did this because against the white make up they weren't standing out so its important to make her face look scary.
Editing Film Magazine Cover - Eyes
Usually in zombie films, they look un-natural and I decided to change the image again using the magic tool on photoshop from her blue eyes to red as this has connotations of danger/blood/death.
Before Eyes edited.
This has worked well, she looks again more like a zombie and the red works well with the blood on her sheet.
Editing Film Magazine Image - HAIR
Editing the hair
In the movie for costume, I chose to add hair extensions onto my actress to make her look scary and as though she had been living in this barn for a long time, however they were a different colour to her hair, so using photoshop and the magic tool, I highlighted the hair and using the drop colour tool I took her original hair colour and make the extensions the same colour shown below.
I think this has worked effectively as it makes her look more scary and the dark colours are connotations of horror.

Live Type Progress
I firstly changed the background colour on photoshop, I downloaded an image of clouds from the internet and then changed the picture to a sepia tone, you then place this into livetype. I added two different layers of text for the 'SNIP' and the 'productions' I also thought that scissors could cut up the snip relating to the title.

Live Type tutorial
I found this very useful in exploring how you can create different titles on livetype, it was easy to follow and fully explained.

Filming issues
We began filming and the lighting still wasn't enough for the camera to pick up clear footage. As a result we relocated to my aunties barn, although it is very modern it had full supply of electricity which meant clear footage. I will darken down the footage and add filters onto it to crete a more creepy mood.

Creating my companies introduction
I chose to call the company 'Snap' as cameras make this noise, and the idea is that the film isn't meant to have been seen, and it is giving you a snippet. I chose to have a clouds background from Livetype under textures to make it realistic and look like it is professional.

Livetype
Here I was experimenting using Livetype which design worked best, I have decided to use the bottom one as conventional horror trailers use a black background. The red outline also gives connotations of blood and danger. I will keep both so that I can experiment on the actual video.
My Title for my movie
Deciding on a name for the movie was hard, I first of all I decided to write down ideas to do with my story line and then chose one from this. I firstly wrote down all the words that I could think of that related to horror such as being scared. I then thought of the plot of my trailer being about a girl taking shelter in a barn and being alone and trapped with no one to help her.
I also looked up existed movies and quite a lot of movies already had some of these words in their title, I will then get audience feedback on which name they most like.
Livetype- Glow and Background guide
Im not overly confident on livetype but by watching this video it easily explained how to create text and add a background to it.
Teaser Trailer - poor lighting
I have exported my first attempt of filming to show how the poor lighting effected the quality of the footage, and how you couldn't see the actors facial expressions, it doesn't contain any transactions or effects but as a result of doing this I can now re-do the filming more effectively with extra lighting.

Lighting Issues
When I begin editing my footage I found that the lighting was very poor and the quality of my footage when I increased the brightness on final cut looked poor. As a result I am going to re-do my filming, using the exact same shots, but with lightening from a flood light, and high powered torches. Although this footage may have been too dark for my final product I have learned about colour correction, brightness and contrast, and the significance that lighting makes. I filmed my footage at 3-5pm on a rainy day and although this appeared to be ok on the camera when transfered to the computer it wasn't.
Factors that effect lighting:
- Weather
- Lighting in the barn
- The time of day
- Lighting sources

Using DaFont
www.dafont.com This website allows you to change the font style, you can download whatever font you want, and it then can be used onto InDesign, Word, Photoshop, Excel, ect. This is really useful as you can find specific genres.

Editing My Test Footage
I am editing my test footage using final cut. I have inserted in my soundtrack pro, and I am editing the videos filters and audio to experiment so I know what I should and shouldn't do when I am actually filming my teaser trailer.

My Actors
Laura Turner
I have chosen Laura because she is used to modelling for Toni & Guy meaning she has paitence and has had make up and hair modelled for her already. I will therefore cast her as the possessed woman as she can easily be manipulated with her long hair and make up.
Ellicia Pendle
I have chosen to use Elli as the vulnerable woman as she is a very good actress, she got an 'A' at GCSE drama and can convincingly act scared.
First use of soundtrack pro
Here I was experimenting to find out horror sounds and to get myself use to the program, understanding the layers, how to search for different sounds, how to adjust volume and make sounds fade out.
