Top 5 Trailers (no.5)

The trailer is a chick flick and would appeal to females more than men. The trailer starts with a voice over about two best friends which any girl can compare too. The establishing shots of the rooms show pretty and magical content - palace like with lots of flowers and gold colours. The trailer is also broken up with writing reinforcing the relationship between the two girls. The clips reveal some of the story such as the men asking them to propose, when they were little and when they are searching for dresses, and partying at another venue. The music is lively and upbeat giving a happy vibe and makes the memories seem magical.  This is then contrasted against a more slow beat song shows the awkwardness between the two brides. They then show clips of how they get revenge on each other which is humorous such as blue hair, spray tanned, and an embarrassing dvd projected in front of all the wedding guests. The music then gets louder and quicker as the brides attack each other down the aisle making you want to watch to see what happens and which wedding goes ahead. The film also has Anne Hathaway in it who is in many chick flicks which is another reason why you want to see it.  The dramatic tension is increased throughout and because the audience can relate to it and there are many cliff hangers you want answers. The trailer is really effective because the first half juxtaposing the first half with the second through the happy scenes and upbeat music to the sadder more dramatic music.
